Churchill Downs Incorporated has given online sports bettors in Indiana the best New Year’s gift – a new online sports betting option. On Monday, December 30, 2019, the gaming operator announced the launch of its digital BetAmerica Sportsbook. This makes it the fourth mobile sports betting provider in the Hoosier State. It will also be complementing the already existing retail sports betting facility that is located at the Rising Star Casino Resort.

Now, sports bettors in the state can access the BetAmerica mobile sportsbook and place bets on a wide range of both professional and collegiate sports. They will also be able to enjoy betting on international sporting activities such as soccer and rugby. In addition to that, all of the amazing features that BetAmerica has implemented in other states will also be available. These include super odd boosts as well as in-game betting features.

Sports Betting in Indiana

Indiana is one of the few states where sports betting has kicked off on a rather high note. It is one of the states that has decided to capitalize on the very lucrative sector, and everything seems to be going quite well. The first digital sports betting option was launched in October 2019 by DraftKings. The other three that the BetAmerica online sportsbook will be joining include FanDuel and BetRivers. Before that, sports bettors already had access to up to 14 retail sportsbooks in the state.

BetAmerica’s entry into that particular market has been very smooth particularly due to the versatility of Churchill Downs’ products and services. The gaming operator claim that its digital sports betting option offers as many as 5,000 races per week as well as live betting on nearly all major sporting activities. Its online casino offerings have also been doing quite well which means they have a bit of experience in the state’s iGaming space.

Further Expansion Plans

Indiana is the third state where the BetAmerica Mobile Go Live App has been licensed to operate. It began its United States venture by launching an online sportsbook in New Jersey in February 2019. After that, it went after the Pennsylvania online sports betting market where it launched in December. All three states are going to give the company a big boost but they are not planning to stop there.

Churchill Downs has huge plans to expand the presence of its digital sports betting offering to many more states. This is, of course, dependent on whether the state in question has already legalized sports betting. Quite a good number of states have already legalized and are regulating the sector. We expect several other states to do the same in 2020.
