Churchill Downs Incorporated has recently partnered with SBTech, an award-winning global sports betting technology and solutions provider, to launch a BetAmerica sportsbook. The retail sportsbook went live at Indiana’s Rising Star Casino Resort and it marks the debut of SBTech into the state’s nascent sports betting market.

Bettors in Indiana can now look forward to wagering on a number of sporting activities and teams. These will include wagers on professional sports such as NHL, MLB, NFL, and collegiate games. Wagers on international sporting activities will also be available at the sportsbook. Other features offered by the new sports betting facility include early cash out options, in-game betting, amazing bonuses as well as a ton of enhanced products.

Inside the Facility

The facility boasts of a decent number of top-notch self-service kiosks where the players will be able to place bets. In addition to that, there are also cashiers, 30 television screens as well as a full bar. Kiosks are often the most popular option at most retail sportsbooks in the United States. Indiana is likely to be no different. They are expected to drive most of the sports betting volume hence the hefty investment in making them as appealing as possible.

“We are very excited to be entering the great state of Indiana. Our on-property sportsbook product has been extremely successful to date, and we look forward to replicating that success for Rising Star Casino, in partnership with Churchill Downs,” said Melissa Riahei, the President of SBTech US.

As expected, SBTech’s innovative and superior technology will be very important for the new venture. Already it has worked out quite well in other states and this experience will come in handy in Indiana. In fact, there are plans for online and mobile sports betting options in the state. SBTech’s proprietary technology will be very important for this.

Indiana’s Sports Betting Sector

Indiana became the sixth state in the US to legalize sports betting since the Supreme Court abolished PASPA last year. The industry officially went live in 2019 following a massive gambling reform with the first retail sportsbook going live on September 1. Z month later, mobile and online sports betting launched in Indiana. These launches were a big boost to the state’s gaming market.

Online and mobile betting are one of the most successful verticals in the state since they were launched. In fact, after their launch, the digital gaming options were the most popular in Indiana. It is, therefore, no surprise that Churchill Down’s and SBTech have plans to offer online games and mobile games.
