West Virginia’s nascent online gambling market is soon getting one more operator thanks to a recently-closed partnership agreement between Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and Century Casinos. Thanks to this partnership. As per the terms of the agreement, RSI’s BetRivers online betting brand will soon be able to offer its services to gamers in the state as a skin to Mountaineer Park in New Cumberland.

All this is pending licensing and regulatory approval from the West Virginia Lottery, the state’s gaming regulator. Given the reputation of the companies that are involved, it would be safe to assume that they will get the necessary approval to proceed with the plans.

What to Expect

Gamers in the Mountain State certainly have a lot to look forward to. To begin with, according to an official statement from the company, some of the unique offerings they will be bringing include a massive range of online slot titles as well as hundreds of high-quality table games. In addition to that, customers will be able to access a unique and innovative multi-tiered loyalty program that will come with exciting rewards and perks.

Already, Rush Street Interactive has built up quite the reputation in neighboring states such as Pennsylvania where it has licenses to operate. In those markets, the company has received praise for its secure and reliable platform, player-first attitude, transparent approach to customer service, large game library, fast payouts as well as innovative playing experiences. All these and more will be coming to West Virginia.

“In partnership with Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort, we are pleased to have the chance to offer gaming fans in West Virginia the unparalleled experience and service our customers have come to expect via BetRivers.com.”

Richard Schwartz, the president of Rush Street Interactive.

As it stands, West Virginia only has a couple of online gambling apps and the entry of more operators into that market will open up more opportunities. The healthy competition will also lead to better offerings for the customers.

When Can West Virginians Start Playing?

Well, as mentioned earlier, the BetRivers offering is still awaiting licensing and regulatory approval from the West Virginia Lottery. If all goes well and all these hurdles clear up, gamers in the state will be able to dive into some real money online betting action in April 2020.

Now, in case you are not patient enough to wait that long, BetRivers already allows players to access its free casino website, BetRivers.net. While it’s a free-to-play site, the platform still has the best of what Rush Street Interactive has to offer. You can think of it as a preview of what will be coming in the second quarter of 2021 when the online casino site launches fully.
