NetEnt US Expansion Plans Still on Track Despite DOJ Opinion

Renowned digital entertainment and gaming solutions provider NetEnt, in its year-end 2018 and fourth quarter report shed some light on its view on the United States Department of Justice revised opinion on the 1961 Wire Act. As it stands, the revised opinion is still plagued with a number of issues primarily owing to its rather ambiguous nature – this has created chaos in the online gambling industry with many operators not knowing how to proceed while some states struggle to oppose the new directive. Despite all that, in a statement released as it gave its report, NetEnt has said that it will be sticking to its expansion plans in the United States.

According to Therese Hillman, the group’s chief executive officer, they have been following the developments of the Wire Act very closely and even though the recent reversal of the Wire Act might have caused a lot of uncertainty, the company does not see any viable reason to halt their expansion plans in the United States. As of this writing, the regulated online gaming markets that NetEnt is primarily focusing on are the ones in Pennsylvania and New Jersey both of which are very lucrative gaming markets.

Long Term Plans

NetEnt boasts of a strong presence across various regulated online gambling markets in Europe which account for the majority of its customers. However, the company is now taking the North American markets more seriously in a bid to ensure long-term growth. It all begun with New Jersey where NetEnt acquired a temporary gaming license back in 2015 and has recently applied for a full license which is still under review by the state’s gambling regulator.

Pennsylvania has been on NetEnt’s radar from the very state and therefore when the opportunity presented itself, the company did not hesitate to partner with various operators in the Keystone State. The state’s residents should, therefore, expect to have access to a number of NetEnt-powered products and offerings.

Perfect Blackjack Coming to Grosvenor Casinos

Speaking of NetEnt’s product offerings, the company has recently launched a brand-new live casino game which allows players to be dealt cards according to the perfect blackjack strategy.  Perfect Blackjack, the game, is set to go live in the next few months and it will initially be rolled out on Grosvenor Casinos with a feature that will allow players to pre-select whether they want to double down or auto-split. This way, the house edge will be brought down to 0.5 percent accompanies with a return to player (RTP) or a whopping 99.5 percent. Moreover, the product will be significantly faster with additional scalability and flexibility thanks to the inclusion of the multi-seat feature and multiple players per box.
