EveryMatrix to Acquire Swedish Slot Developer Fantasma Games for $20 Million

Boldly expanding its worldwide iGaming portfolio, EveryMatrix has announced its plans to buy Fantasma Games, a Swedish slot company, for $20 million. This deal strengthens EveryMatrix’s presence in important regions, especially the US, where the business has grown significantly.

Conquering a Fierce Market

In 2022, EveryMatrix joined the American market with BetMGM. Since then, the company has grown fast, obtaining licenses in many states including Connecticut, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan. The company’s established relationships with operators like DraftKings have also set it up to become a rising star in the highly competitive American iGaming market.

Meanwhile, Fantasma has been steadily expanding its footprint in the United States. While states like Michigan and New Jersey have begun to offer the studio’s popular games like Goat Rush and Divine Dynasty Princess, these titles have not yet achieved widespread distribution in other regulated marketplaces. Thanks to the sale, Fantasma may now enter the U.S. market faster by making use of EveryMatrix’s well-established infrastructure and wide-ranging licensing network.

As a platform that hosts over 29,000 games from 350 different developers, EveryMatrix gains a competitive edge by including Fantasma’s library. EveryMatrix is preparing to expand Fantasma’s unique slot games to more than 250 operators in 50 countries. The games are famous for their mystical themes and are mobile-friendly. They are already successful in places like Europe.

This acquisition does double duty for EveryMatrix: it expands its game library and supports its strategy of concentrating on mobile-friendly content, which is a big thing in the American market. As mobile gaming surpasses desktop play in the US, Fantasma’s competency in creating games with a mobile focus is a good match for gamers’ tastes.

Gains in Social and Sweepstakes Casinos

In addition to the real money markets, Fantasma’s games have become popular in sweepstakes and social casinos all around the United States. About twenty of the developer’s slot machines, including Fortune Llama and Shadow Summoner Egypt, have been featured on platforms such as Stake.us, WOW Vegas, and Fortune Coins. With the success these games have had with sweepstakes customers, they may find a way to expand into the real-money market.

The acquisition benefits both businesses immensely in this regard. Distribution to these social platforms has largely been handled by Relax Gaming, another aggregator making inroads in both social and real-money sectors.  With EveryMatrix, Fantasma can tap into a wider distribution network, which speeds up its expansion in the US and other important areas.
